The self-locking nut is a threaded insert with a serrated flange and a locking groove. The serrated flange, when recessed into the sheet metal, ensures the uniform sliding of part of the sheet metal into the locking groove of the fastener, thereby providing a secure fastening.
The assembly must always be carried out by gradually applying pressure, using the fastener from the entrance side.
