COMPRESSION LIMITERS may be pressed in or installed by heat staking or ultrasonic welding. The prevent compression of the plastic part under the forces of the tightened screw. COMPRESSION LIMITER ASSEMBLIES include a floating, captive screw to significantly reduce both the number of parts to assemble and the total install time.

PREPARING THE HOLE

1 Prepare holes with a taper of 1°.
2 The plastic walls must have a thickness that is at least 50% of the diameter of the screw to be used.
3 Compression limiters with various surface geometries can also be developed.
