GRIPFORM

Sheet-metal nut

Our standard GRIPFORM nut has a wide body and pattern of shank slots and face splines that provide a high degree of axial, pull-through resistance, while increasing contact with the surface of the sheet metal. These high-strength nuts can be produced in a range of sizes based on your specific needs.

Technical data

BENEFITS

GRIPFORM is a high-strength nut that can be installed on sheet metal of any hardness.

Eliminates the aesthetic issues of welded nuts.

Provides mechanical strength even in softer aluminum sheet metals. Ensures perfect axial positioning on the sheet metal.

DESIGN GUIDE

Car window mechanism.

The cylindrical body of this nut may be positioned at a distance of 2.0 mm from a cut edge and as close as 1.0 mm to a fold for the utmost freedom of positioning on sheet metal. We recommend hole dimensions as specified under columns H and P of the technical specifications.

Resistance ratings range from 8.8 up to 123.9 in pressed, heat-treated steel. High-strength aluminum and stainless steel are available upon request. The standard surface treatment for GRIPFORM steel nuts clear, trivalent zinc plating, but specific surface treatments may be done to meet your specific needs.

Especially suited to applications in the automotive industry for structural sheet metal parts and other vehicle components, as well as in all industrial applications dove that call for high-strength fasteners.

GRIPFORM may be used on all types of sheet metal for high levels of resistance to pull-out forces and direct torque-out forces.
