Our PCBR AND SCBR BROACHING INSERTS are designed to provide resistant, metallic threading in printed circuit boards. These fasteners ensure both easy, press-in installation and great strength, while eliminating any risk of breaking the circuit board. Also available in a standoff version.

DESIGN GUIDE

INSTALLATION

Our broaching fasteners are easy to install and require no special tools. Be sure to apply only gradual pressure when installing these fasteners. For high volumes, automated installation equipment is available. For more information, contact PSM CELADA Fasteners.

IMPORTANT

The size of the hole in the printed circuit board has a tolerance of -0.000/+0.075 mm. We also recommend reading carefully the table concerning the minimum distance from the center of the hole to the edge.


ASSEMBLY

1. Place the insert on the hole in the printed circuit board.

2. Apply pressure to the head of the insert and make sure that the body of the insert makes good contact with the circuit board.

3. Insert the screw or bolt from the opposite side of the circuit board.
