PSK

Self-clinching hex nut

Our PSK nut creates threading in thin sheet metal and in certain plastics.

Designed specifically for sheet metal as thin as 1.0 mm, this nut may be used with standard metric bolts.

It is easy to install without special materials and simply using a press.

When inserted, the clinching groove and special knurled collar provide excellent resistance to push-out forces and clamping torque.

Available for various thicknesses of sheet metal and with various heights of clinching groove and knurled collar.

Available in zinc-plated carbon steel. Available in steel upon request.

DESIGN GUIDE

1

Before installing, center the nut on the hole in the sheet metal and align the anvil.

2

Using a flat rod, apply pressure to the body of the nut.
A slight turn of the nut will allow for the proper flow of material from the wall of the hole into the groove and between the teeth of the knurled collar, the inclination of which ensures high resistance to clamping torque.

3

After installing the nut, tightening the bolt ensures a secure, reliable joint.
