PRESS-IN SCREW

These screws are designed to be pressed quickly and easily directly into holes holes of the proper size in a single action. TM PRESS fastening solutions may be used in various types of thermoplastic, in soft metals, and in steel with a wide range of densities.

TM PRESS fasteners feature a trilobular, semi-trapezoidal 70°-10° thread. This both makes them extremely easy to use and generates extraordinary torque-out resistance. In addition, to further increase the performance of this fastening system, the threading has been designed with a spiral shape, rather than ringed. This both expels air during installation and allows the fastener to be removed and pressed back in if necessary.

The heads of our TM PRESS screws may be provided together with a tool that can be used to remove, adjust and/or tighten the screw. For applications in which adjustment or removal will not be necessary, TM PRESS systems are also available without any sort of drive in the head.

Technical data

Standard material: BS 3111 9/2 steel. Surface hardness 390 HV. Core hardness 340-380 HV.

REDUCES ASSEMBLY TIME BY 75%

  • Position the through hole of the part to be assembled over the central hole of the component.
  • Press the TM PRESS fastener into the central hole by way of the through hole.
  • The head of the TM PRESS fastener will remain on the fastening part and hold it in place.
