This year, FAI turns 50!

Founded in 1975, FAI – Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano is a non-profit foundation dedicated to the protection and enhancement of Italy’s historical, artistic, and natural heritage. To mark its anniversary, the organization unveiled a new logo featuring a small bird—a symbol that invites us to soar together toward the future, always with an eye to the past, and with the awareness that “those who know where they come from also know where they are going.”

FAI was born thanks to Elena Croce, who encouraged her friend Giulia Maria Mozzoni Crespi to create in Italy an organization inspired by the British National Trust. With the support of numerous collaborators, the foundation’s deed of incorporation and bylaws were signed on April 28, 1975 – a concrete gesture by individuals determined to make a difference for the good of our heritage.
Today, FAI counts thousands of members, manages and restores numerous cultural assets across Italy, promotes local initiatives, and organizes trips, courses, and educational programs in schools.

CELADA Fasteners has long been a participant in FAI’s Corporate Golden Donor program, a tangible and meaningful commitment to protecting and promoting sites of historical, artistic, and natural significance in Italy. The safeguarding of cultural heritage is a core value for us, deeply embedded in our corporate vision of respect and social responsibility.

We are proud to support FAI on this special anniversary and to continue together along a path rich with meaning and promise for the future.
