N12 / N22 / N32 FOR COMPOSITE MATERIALS

Our ribbed BANC-LOK metal inserts are designed for fibrous materials. These ribbed inserts give you highly durable threading in materials that are much less resistant to wear.

Technical data

N12 INSERTS

With a single, sharp rib and a total length of 4.8 mm for all threads. This type is particularly suited to thin materials and situations in which the need for pull-out resistance is not as great.

N22 INSERTS

With two, sharp ribs and a total length of 9.5 mm for all threads. This type is primarily suited to heavier materials and situations in which there is a greater need for pull-out resistance.

N32 INSERTS

With three, sharp ribs and a total length of 14.3 mm for all threads. This type is suited, above all, to thick materials and applications in which the highest performance is required.

BENEFITS

This type of insert provides a reusable thread and prevents the chipping, breakage and corrosion that can result from the reinstallation of conventional devices mounted directly on wood. Because they absorb and distribute stresses, our N12, N22 e N32 are the most durable, most stable joints for furniture.
Available with one, two, or three ribs for a range of material thicknesses, these inserts are particularly suited for all types of hardware drawers and to attach metal parts to boats, furniture, doors, and cabinets. Whenever using an insert in wood, this wood should be protected with a Banc-Lok insert.

DESIGN GUIDE

INSTALLATION

To install, simply drill a hole in the wood or fiber with the dimensions specified in the table, then push the insert fully into the hole.

IMPORTANT

When used in wood, the insert’s excellent pull-out resistance is reduced if inserted in the same direction as the grain of the wood.
